Kris-Stella's main research interests are political psychology, comparative political behavior, and the functioning of democratic systems. She is particularly interested in social cognition and the application of social psychology to questions in political science. She earned her Ph.D. in 2013 from the Harvard Government Department, where she is currently College Fellow. Her book project, which is based on her dissertation, explores the impact that economic inequality has on public perceptions of fairness in income differences.
