PhD Candidate, Harvard Kennedy School

Blake Heller is a PhD candidate in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School. His research interests are broadly focused on the development and deployment of human capital in the context of American public education. Before beginning his academic career, Blake taught middle school and high school math at a public charter school in Gary, Indiana, and managed projects for the Education Innovation Laboratory at Harvard. His current research projects are related to adult basic education, immigrant language skills, high school equivalency credentialing, college access, and teacher labor markets.
