Why do countries participate in rankings systems that cast them in a negative light? In recent decades, the rise of Global Performance Assessments (GPAs) such as PISA, has become a ubiquitous element of the international governance arena. But we know very little of how the public perceives them and how useful they are in providing information about the quality of the education system. In this short survey we seek to expand our understanding of public opinion on the subject. This survey will take about 7 minutes to complete.
