Pablo Balan is a graduate student at Harvard University's Department of Government. His substantive interests include the political economy of development, the institutionalization of political institutions, the origins of state capabilities, and the impact of culture on economic outcomes. Before coming to Harvard, I received a B.A. in Political Science from Universidad de San Andrés and an MA in Political Science from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, Argentina.
