Shujianing Li

Lab Manager, Sidanius Intergroup Relations Lab

Shujianing Li is the Lab Manager for the Sidanius Intergroup Relations Lab, directed by Dr. James Sidanius. Her identity as a first-generation Chinese American woman inspires her interest in studying Asians and other racial minorities. Broadly speaking, Shujianing is interested in how race, sometimes in interplay with other identity domains (e.g., gender, class), affects individuals’ behaviors, professional and social outcomes, and outsiders' perceptions of them. She graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in psychology and a minor in economics in May 2019.
